Philip Vinay Varickanickal grew up in Brampton, Ontario. He practised briefly as a refugee lawyer in Toronto, representing claimants before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, before moving into a sole practice. When he’s not working, he enjoys running, reading, and listening to podcasts especially about history, religion, economics, and politics.
